Jamaican Jerk Burgers
Ingredients
1lb Ground Turkey or Chicken
1 Tablespoon soy sauce or substitute
1 Tablespoon Ridgeline Spice Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
Running low on Ridgeline Spice Jamaican Jerk Seasoning?
This seasoning blend was inspired by our trip to Jamaica. We fell in love with Jerk Chicken, and it has been a family favorite ever since. This seasoning is traditionally used as a marinade with soy sauce, but it can also be used as a dry rub. Use this spice blend to add Caribbean flavor and spice to chicken, vegetables, and soups.
Ingredients: Onion, Allspice, Black Pepper, Garlic, Cinnamon, Fennel, Nutmeg, Aniseed, Habanero, Cloves
Directions
1. In a medium bowl add 1 Tbsp Ridgeline Spice Jamaican Jerk Seasoning, and 1 Tbsp soy sauce or soy sauce substitute. Mix into a paste. Add 1 pound of ground chicken or turkey to the bowl(I have also used ground deer with this and it’s delicious!) and mix thoroughly.
2. Form the meat into 4 1/4lb patties and grill or pan fry approximately 4 minutes each side until the meat is cooked through to 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Melting cheese on top is a great option with these burgers I would suggest a milder cheese like a provolone.
3. Serve with your favorite burger toppings and a bun bunless, enjoy!
